Committing Again to Healthy Eating
Getting Started
It's easy to get off track with your plans for healthy eating. But you can think of healthy eating as a work in progress. You'll get better each time you refocus your plan.
To get back on track, try:
- Focusing on your reason.
What's your most important reason for wanting to eat healthier?
- Asking yourself what's working.
Give yourself credit for healthy things you already do. What helped you succeed?
- Asking yourself what's not working.
What eating habits are your biggest challenge? What makes them hard?
- Learning from past challenges.
What can you learn from your mistakes or challenges? How can they help you change?
- Refreshing your approach.
It's best to make one or two small changes at a time. Maybe you'd like to find a new healthy recipe online. Or try keeping healthy snacks handy.
- Taking the next step.
Write down ideas for a new healthy eating habit you'd like to try.
